 Hello there and welcome! Today on the blog I've got 8 more handmade cards to share with you! This time around I am using the awesome "Flea Market" collection by Simple Stories. To say this collection is dreamy is an understatement! I LOVED all the fun icons and embellishments in this collection and had so much fun layering lots of Ephemera and stickers and chipboard to make these fun cards. The colors and patterns of this collection are the perfect touch if you like a little vintage and hip and retro!

My Story Cards - Simple Stories DT Project

Hello, there crafty friends! Today I am up sharing more of my card creations for Simple Stories! 

This collection is called "My Story" and it is absolutely the cutest! The colors and icons in this collection invoke all the things that make "Me Time" so special. Coffee cups, pretty plants, stacks of books just waiting to be read and so much more!

This first card has one of the adorable tags from the Tag Element papers as the sentiment. Aren't the greens in this collection so lovely? Some flowers, a pretty little bird, and a gorgeous large flower peeking out from behind the tag finish this cute card off!

On this next card,  I  had fun layering some of the many icons up and making a little desk-type of scene. The cute "Good Vibes" sentiment from the Chipboard Stickers takes center stage for a bold greeting! I added this super fun corrugated paper from my stash for a little bit of extra texture.

Another horizontally oriented card was just perfect to highlight this very cute bicycle from the Chipboard Stickers. I love the dimension the chipboard adds to an otherwise flat card! the "Choose Joy" sticker from the Foam Stickers is a great sentiment to send to someone who needs a little cheering up!

Pretty butterflies are abundant on this fun card! The "Good Vibes" tag is from the Tag Elements paper and it is a new fun size that normally isn't the shape the tags are, this one was meant to be more of a bookmark size and fit perfectly on my card front. I also added some pretty sheer ribbon to the top with a Decorative Brad in the center.

On this card, I knew I wanted to use a couple of the beautiful floral die cuts from the Floral Bits and Pieces - so I created a fun library card style pocket from some of the Apricot Color Vibe Cardstock to create a holder for the flowers. The Happy Day tag is from the chipboard pieces on the Decorative Brad sheet - these are awesome to use on cards for their perfect smaller size!

This last card is one of my favorites. As a book lover - I knew I needed to use the super cute book shelf pattern paper from the 6x6 Paper pad that made a great background to layer more fun elements to this card! Simple Vintage Life in Bloom Cards

Hello there Simple Stories fans! My name is Tya Smith and I am so happy to be back designing for Simple Stories once more. Today I am sharing my first post for the new term and I am so excited to share what I  have been working on! I get the pleasure of designing handmade cards and this assignment was such a joy to create. I am using the gorgeous "Simple Vintage Life in Bloom" collection. 

 For my assignment, I have created 8 cards that a full of some of my favorite products to use, as well as a couple of products new to Simple Stories! Let's jump right in shall we? I've included the card measurements and the supplies I used on each card underneath each of their photos. 

Some of my favorite things about this collection are all the beautiful florals. This collection is brimming with all sorts of lovely flowers so they will be prominent in my designs. This card features the new Layered Chipboard Stickers. These add such a wonderful dimension which I love!

This card features some of the amazing Ephemera in the collection - I love that the ephemera was nice a large which made it super fun to layer and add embellishments to. Here I used the calendar piece and the blue ticket piece. I used one of the Chipboard Clusters as my focal point and then layered some pieces on top.

Lots of layering went on in creating this card! I used a fun technique on this one by adding a small corner pocket on the bottom of the card - making way to add lots of tags and ephemera inside the pocket. I added more foam stickers to this card as well - love these!!

On this card, I was able to play with another new product - Rub Ons! I added a couple to this card and they added such a wonderful touch. Aren't the butterflies in this collection are stunning! I used lots of them because they just complement the flowers so perfectly!

I also used some of the Vintage Ginghams papers as well - as seen here with the green paper. I love that the Simple Vintage collections include solids and some patterns that coordinate with the collections so well!
