Hi friends! Today I’m sharing a project that made my holiday-loving heart so happy. I’m obsessed with Christmas Tree Cakes, so when I found a YouTube tutorial, which I will link below, for these adorable treat boxes, I knew I had to make a few using the Oh What Fun collection. The bright colors, the sweet elves, and all the playful icons were the perfect match for these yummy little gifts. Each box fits one Christmas Tree Cake perfectly—and they turned out absolutely darling! I also loved the idea of coordinating each box with a base color using matching embellishments, doilies, and themed die cuts.

Link to the tutorial that I followed to make the base of the boxes can be found here:

Each of the boxes was constructed the same way. I used a piece of Textured Cardstock and then cut a piece of Spot of Cheer pattern paper for the front panel.  I then added coordinating embellishments that matched the base color of the box to make it look visually appealing and cohesive.

All of my embellishments were from the Odds and Ends for the elves and trees. I then added Puffy Icons presents, candy, and hearts to the boxes. I found color-coordinating snowflake stickers from the Icon Sticker Sheets and added them with some foam tape to the top of the bag. Each bag features a sentiment strip from the Chit Chat die cuts, which rests below the embellishments. Finally, each bag is topped with a fun bow made from Doodle Twine.

Let’s take a look at each one!

Pink Box – “You’re So Sweet” This soft pink box might be my favorite—it’s just so sugary sweet! I layered a Cupcake mini doily behind a polka-dot panel, then added the cutest little elf, pink tree, peppermint accents, and a tiny gift. The sentiment “You’re So Sweet” couldn’t be more perfect, especially paired with the Christmas Tree Cake tucked inside. A pink and white twine bow finished it off for that extra pop of sweetness.

Green Box – “Holly Jolly Christmas” This bright green box is overflowing with holiday cheer! I used a matching Limeade doily and layered on a plaid tree, candy swirl enamel dot, snowflake, and the cutest little elf holding a candy cane. The lemon-lime color combination feels so fresh and fun. “Holly Jolly Christmas” adds the perfect festive touch across the bottom.

Red Box – “Merry Christmas.” The red version might be the most classic of the bunch. I went full-on jolly Christmas vibes with a cute elf girl in a red hat, a bright red polka-dot tree, a matching Ladybug doily, and a wrapped gift. The white enamel dot accents and bold “Merry Christmas” banner make this box a standout.

Yellow Box – “Sending Love & Cheer” How cheery is this one? The yellow box features the sweetest little scene with the elf riding on a reindeer. I tucked in a yellow-striped house, a gift, and a big snowflake to bring in some winter magic. The sunny yellow Bumblebee doily behind the cluster keeps everything soft and warm. This one truly does send love & cheer!

Swimming  Pool Blue Box – “Holiday Fun” This cool aqua box might be the perfect tone for winter crafting. I layered on the blue tree, peppermint swirl enamel dot, snowflakes, and a matching elf. The Swimming Pool doily peeks out just enough to give the whole box a frosty, whimsical feel. The “Holiday Fun” banner adds just the right playful touch!

A Peek Inside Each box opens easily from the top, and the Christmas Tree Cake fits inside like it was made for this project. These are such a great size for coworker gifts, classroom treats, Secret Santa surprises, or even stocking stuffers!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope these colorful and cheerful treat boxes inspired you to create a few of your own this holiday season. They are so simple to make—and even sweeter to give. Happy crafting, friends!

Hello friends! There's nothing that says Christmas Magic quite like a visit with Santa! I pulled out the whimsical new Oh What Fun collection to document these sweet photos of my nephews visiting the jolly man himself. Between the bright colors, cheerful icons, and playful patterns, this layout came together like a holiday dream - full of fun, sparkle, and a whole lot of festive joy!

Let me talk you through how I put this cutie together!

I started with the pretty red "Festive Flannel "paper for my base, which instantly gave the page a cozy Christmas feel. On top of that, I added a faux stitched white cardstock layer to help all those bright Doodlebug colors pop! I used the cute  "All Spruced Up" Christmas tree patterned paper from the collection to create a fun background block across the middle — the perfect spot for my big Santa embellishment and title. This little cluster is made with die cuts from the Chit Chat and Odds and Ends die cut packs. I also added a strip of green scallop border stickers along the top of my tree paper. That is from the This and That Sticker Sheet.

Notice the fun "Oh What Fun" Sprinkles I added to the Christmas Tree die cut for some added shine to this little bunch of embellishments.

I matted each of my photos on blue cardstock from the Oh What Fun Solid Assortment pack to create a crisp contrast and tied Bumblebee Doodle Twine around them for a playful pop of texture. I arranged the four photos in a grid to show each of my nephews meeting Santa.  For my journaling, I printed simple strips that tell the story behind these photos. It’s a sweet reminder of how special these little traditions are year after year.
The string of colorful Christmas lights across the top corner adds the perfect finishing touch — it feels like Santa’s workshop come to life!  This is from the Chit Chat die cuts. To bump up this embellishment, I added some Christmas Lights Shape Sprinkles on every other light. Just look at that shine!  Love it!
To make each picture stand out, I tucked in little die cuts, word strips, and labels from the Bits & Pieces pack — like the rainbow-striped tab with a heart on top and the “Santa Season” label above one of the photos. These are all from the Odd and Ends and Bits and Pieces die cuts. I also sprinkled in snowflake and star acetate shapes from the Odds and Ends throughout the layout to keep things balanced and full of sparkle. Each detail helps capture the joyful chaos and excitement that comes with our annual Santa visit.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope this festive page inspires you to pull out your Oh What Fun collection and create a few merry and bright Christmas layouts of your own. Whether it’s photos with Santa or just holiday moments around the tree, this cheerful collection will help you capture all the joy of the season. Happy crafting and Merry Christmas! ❤️

Hello crafty friends! Today, I am so excited to share a bright and cheery set of cards I created for my latest Doodlebug Design team project. I pulled out the Summer Fun collection and paired it with the coordinating Cards & Envelopes Kit for my bases. The pattern papers are all from the 6x8 Paper Pad, and lots of ephemera and stickers.  The result? Six happy little greetings that are perfect for sending sunshine to someone special! Let’s dive into the details of each card.

Card 1 – Tropical Hello

For this first card, I layered a square stitched white cardstock panel over a bold floral blue card base and added a Tangerine doily to bring in lots of summer warmth.  I used the beautiful pink scallop "This is Paradise" sticker from the This and That sticker sheet as a base to layer up. The Palm trees, a suitcase, and a seagull , found on one of the Odds and Ends die cuts, create a fun little island scene. I added a pretty blue flower with a shiny yellow Sprinkle to the center, and a cute aqua speech bubble from the Chit Chat, then finished it off with a big bold “hello” sentiment also found in the Chit Chat die cuts. This one just screams vacation vibes!

Card 2 – Beach Sign Hello

Here, I chose a navy Textured Cardstock base and layered on polka dots, plaid, and some Bubblegum Textured Cardstock for a playful background. Tucked into the side is the fun notebook paper with the sun piece from the Bits and Pieces. I added a cute Puffy Sticker Icons sun to the top of the sun on the card.  The star of the show is the colorful beach sign, from the Odds and Ends, stacked with words like “fun,” “surf,” and “drinks.” Notice the tiny Puffy Sticker hearts on the sign - they are from the Puffy Word Stickers. A rainbow-striped chair and a happy little seagull, from the Odds and Ends, make it feel like a true day at the beach. I added a small “hello” speech bubble, from the Chit Chat, to tie the whole scene together.

Card 3 – Surf’s Up Birthday

This card is a birthday treat featuring rows of surfboards , from the Odds and Ends, decked out in bright solids and floral patterns. I layered this on top of one of the 3x4 cards found on the Flamazing Flock paper. I love seeing if my die cuts can be added on top of matching graphics for a more 3D look. Tucked behind the card is a pretty Orange Plaid Tag, from the Beach Picnic paper, tied with some jute twine.   I added a playful red crab- he's from the Odds and Ends as well,  waving hello at the bottom, along with a wave border die cut for that perfect ocean feel.  The sentiment banner across the top reads “happy birthday,” making it ideal for any summer-loving friend. That little cutie is from the Puffy Stickers Words pack.

Card 4 – Birthday Laundry Line

How fun is this one? I loved this little array of beachy, summer clothing die cut from the Chit Chat! I added it across the top of the card.  I used the adorable white and blue dot paper from the 6x8 paper pad and some bright green Textured Cardstock as my base. A green chameleon Icon Sticker hangs out on one side, while orange flowers, from the Bits and Pieces and Icon Stickers, brighten the corners. The bold “happy birthday” sentiment, found on the Puffy Stickers Words sheet,  anchors the design beautifully. It’s whimsical and just plain fun!

Card 5 – Adventure Awaits

This card sets sail with a big cruise ship from the Odds and Ends,  as the centerpiece, framed by colorful layered rectangles using a 3x4 card from the Beach Towel paper, white cardstock, and some pink floral 6x8 paper. I added a playful dolphin, a ship’s wheel, both from the Odds and Ends, and lots of bright florals, from the Bits and Pieces, to tie in the tropical theme. The sentiment, “best wishes on your adventure,” makes it perfect for a graduation, bon voyage, or any new journey. Notice the pretty Tangerine Doily and the shiny Sprinkles found on the flower centers! If I can, I almost always add a Sprinkle to my flower centers for added dimension and fun!

Card 6 – Wish You Were Here

Last but not least, this one is inspired by beachside cottages. I used three striped beach huts, found in the Odds and Ends,  in sunny shades of orange, blue, and pink as the focal point. A little crab, starfish, flower,  and shells- all Puffy Stickers Icons- anchor the sandy bottom, which is just some light brown Textured Cardstock I tore to make it look more like sand. I tied jute bows to the flagpoles for extra texture and added the sentiment banner “wish you were here”, from the Chit Chat,  across the top. It’s the sweetest way to send a bit of beachy love.

I had so much fun putting this set together! The Summer Fun collection is packed with so many happy icons, patterns, and colors that the possibilities are endless. Pairing it with the coordinating Cards & Envelopes Kit made it so easy to create cohesive, polished greetings.

Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today! I hope these sweet and sunny salutations inspire you to create a few cheerful cards of your own. After all, nothing brightens someone’s day like happy mail straight from the heart.
