Hey all!

Can you believe that Turkey Day is just a short 2 weeks away? That just seems so wrong to me - especially since I still have about 16 pounds of Halloween Candy left - but I thought these cute little Thanksgiving printables would get me in the festive mood :)

These files are free to download and they are 5x7 inches in size but they can be resized to fit smaller or larger frames. We added a die cut leaf and button tied with some pretty cranberry twine on the subway art. We added 2 punched flowers , a button and some brown and white bakers twine, layered on top of a pretty brown and white damask patterned bow on the Gobble On picture. All of these beautiful embellishments can be found at Heartland.

You can download the files here:

Enjoy and have an awesome day!

Just a Layout

Just wanted to share a layout that I did this weekend. I had such a fun time with my scrappy friends. We went to a hotel and scrapped the night away (didn't get to bed until 4:30 AM!) But it was so fun! Love them!

One of my favorite companies to scrap with is Echo Park. There products totally appeal to my style of scrapbooking.  I used their "Playground" line and it was perfect for these photos that I had floating around of Maddie when she was almost 2. She had such a fear of going down the slide at this little park up by our house that the kids called the "Blue Park." I just so happen to have my camera that day snapping some candid shot of  the kids and I turned around and saw Maddie finally braving the slide. She was so brave :). So just a little bit of advice - take your camera with you all the time because you never know when the time will be just right to snap some wonderful memories. And with camera phones now days being just as good as some point and shoot camera's you should have no problem getting a great photo!  Thanks for looking!

Have a great day!

Happy October everyone! This is my favorite time of year !Halloween is one of my favorite holidays! I always loved dressing up into costumes that were the total opposite of what I really looked like everyday and of course the candy! As an adult I still love it just as much! We plan the kids costumes months in advance and decorate the house up nice and scary! And they always have the cutest scrapbook paper for Halloween - and this year the scrapbook companies did not dissapoint! I did these projects up for Heartland and for my guest stint on the MME blog. Soo- here they are-

I am totally digging shaped cards lately! I am not really a card maker - but I just had to make these cards! They were super easy and fun to make with my Silhouette machine! I see more of these in my future!

Doodlebug has always been one of my absolute favorite companies and I absolutely ADORED their Halloween line this time around. Check out these babies:

Darling right!!!

Here is what I created using this super cute line:
I loved the sentiment on this one :) The little bag is filled with chocolate eyeballs in it! So fun!
I hope you all have a wonderful and spook-tacular October!

Take care!

Guess who is the Guest Designer for MME this Month?

Hey y'all-

Whoa! This summer has been absolutely -CA-RAY-ZY! But I just wanted to catch you up on goings on in my scrapbooking world. I have had so many amazing opportunities just happen to fall into place in the last few weeks. It's all very exciting! First off - I was hired back at Heartland Paper under the new owner Donna who is as nice as nice can be. She welcomed us old store teachers back with open arms and I was so happy to be back home :) After alot of consideration - I decided to not continue teaching classes. I have always wanted to be on the design end of things so when the chance came up for me to be the Design Team Coordinator for her new Design Team - I jumped at the chance. So far the ladies on the team have been so amazing and inspiring. I am so looking forward to sharing with all the customers at the store all the wonderful ideas we have in mind for you! Stay tuned to the Heartland Paper Co. blog for some awesome new entries!

Earlier this week I got an email that made me sooo excited. A few months back you may remeber that I won the My Mind's Eye Blog Sketch Challenge. Well, I was contacted that they wanted me (LITTLE OLD ME) to be the Guest Designer for the month of August. I was thirilled and of course said YES!!! So far it has been an amazing experience for me. I can't wait to see what else they want me to do for them. Check out their blog as well and see what else I will be up to this month!
Here are a couple of my latest designs!

My Minds Eye Lost and Found 2 collection

Pretty crinkly flower made with my Silhouette
( its is called a 3-D Ruffle flower)

My Minds Eye Hip Horray Girl Collection

Inside the little brown bags are balloons that I wrote a message on. I used a ballpoint pen. That seemed to work the best. I blew up the balloon just a little bit, just pinching off (not completely tying off) the end.  I then wrote my message. I just layed the balloon on flat surface still pinching off the end, and the used my writing hand to write the message.

I used 2 balloons. One says "Happy" the other says "Birthday"
My Minds Eye Hip Horray Boy collection. I love the primary colors in this line!
My Minds Eye Fine and Dandy Collection. Look how little the kids are! :)

My Minds Eye Stella and Rose collection.
This is my cutie patootie nephew Dallin. Couldn't you just eat those chubby cheeks?

My Mind's Eye Stella and Rose collection.
The pinwheel is made using 2 circles of each color cut in half and then glued onto a bigger circle of cardstock in the back. I attached a brad and then added a yellow toothpick on the bottom for the handle. Font i used is CK Darling.

Thanks for looking!

Hello all!

At Heartland for the design team this month we were assigned to make some cards and invitations. I had alot of fun coming up with these!  I don't do alot of cards and I don't really know why! They are really fun!

I just adored these glittery flower stickers from Doodlebug. I used some Bo Bunny Dots in orange and then the pink ribbon is just some grosgrain that I pleated and the glued with my trusty I-Bond Glue Gun so it would hold. I really like how this one turned out. The rub on sentiment is from Bazzill.

This was a fun little invitation I made for a spa party.  (Man- I gotta throw one of those soon! My tootsies are sooo dry!) I got all the goodies at good old Dollar Tree. I used some of the new Basic Grey Out of Print paper and wow is that a gorgeous line of paper. I don't usually use alot of muted colors - I am more a bright color gal - but these papers were perfect and girly! And of course I topped it off with a little black tuelle.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by !
