Teen Spirit Girl Card | Echo Park Paper

Hello there! It's Tya up on the blog today sharing with you a handmade card featuring the cute-as-can-be Teen Spirit Girl collection. This collection for sure had me hooked from the moment I saw it! I had all the heart eyes for it :) So, so many fun icons to play with! It was hard not to keep adding more and more to my card, but I think what I settled on turned out pretty cute lol!
As you can see, I used several different patterned papers from the 6x6 paper pad and for the orange piece, I did trim down one of the 4x4 cut apart cards. The card was then decorated with some of the Ephemera, stickers, black twine and some enamel dots for some shine, Here are a couple of close-ups of the card:
Isn't that Converse sneaker so adorable? And all the Emojis are so fun too!
This collection is SO MUCH FUN! As a mama of teenagers- this line was perfect for some of those older kid moments. I plan to give this to my sweet 17-year-old daughter to remind her of this special time in her life and to enjoy it now because guess what's next? .....Adulting ....lol! Thanks so much for stopping by today! Happy Crafting!

More Precious than Rubies | Echo Park Paper

Hi there! It's Tya and I am up on the blog today to share a sweet card I made using the Forward with Faith collection. This line is so beautiful and includes some of my favorite colors to work with. I love any line that includes black and tan with pops of bright colors! It is simply gorgeous! Here is my card:

I used a lovely floral and a pink pattern paper from the 6x6 paper pad for my background papers. I added a bit of lace ribbon along the border of the two papers. I then got to decorating the card. I love making clusters of different kinds of embellishments on my cards. I layered a few different pieces of  Ephemera on a kraft colored doily. I did add some foam tape behind the Ephemera pieces for some dimension.

I added a floral sticker from the Element Sticker sheet to the bottom corner of the card. I added a few black enamel dots to the card for some shine. I also tied a knot on the small tag with some white crochet thread.
This card was one of my favorites to put together and the sentiment is so lovely as well, I knew I  wanted that to be the focal point of this card. This collection has so many wonderful icons and embellisments, I could have made many more cards with these inspirational words on them. So if you are looking for a religious-themed collection - please consider Forward in Faith! Happy Crafting!

America the Beautiful Card | Echo Park Paper

Hi there - Tya here! I am up on the blog today sharing a handmade card featuring the amazing "America the Beautiful" collection! Wow! What a great collection to celebrate my favorite holiday - the 4th of July! I am such a huge fan of anything "Americana" themed so this collection really spoke to my patriotic loving heart!
To create this card I started with a white cardstock card base and layered a piece of Dusty Blue Coordinating Solid Paper, and some Navy Linen Cardstock. I  ran the navy cardstock through my manual die cutting machine to emboss it using the Grid  Embossing Folder. I then chose some of my favorite pieces of pattern papers from the 6x6 paper pad to decorate the rest of the card.
Here are a few close-ups of my card embellishments.
I tied some light blue bakers twine around the red and white striped paper. I  love how it brought out the dusty blues in the collection. I loved the bunting sticker so that was stuck to the card across the  top. To make the medallion shape, I used my manual die cutting machine to cut out a circle from the smallest circle die in the Stitched Circle Nesting Die Set. I did this with some Red Solid Coordinating paper. I located the "Happy Fourth of July" sticker and the star sticker from the Element Sticker sheet I then cut a banner shape out of some blue gingham 6x6 pattern paper. Under the red circle, I placed a blue banner sticker on underside. I then cut a banner from the blue gingham 6x6 paper pad and glued it to the card base. I then added the medallion piece to the card with some foam tape.

In this corner, I added a  couple of stickers from the Element Sticker sheet to the card front with foam tape. Isn't that wood crate sticker so fun? Loved it and knew when I saw it I needed to make a  card using it.
This card came together so quickly! I can't wait to make more! I hope this card has inspired you to pick up this wonderful collection to make some of your own patriotic projects! Thank you for stopping by! Happy Crafting!

Summer Adventure Card - Echo Park

Hey there! Tya here! I am up on the blog today sharing this fun card featuring the adorable Summer Adventure collection! I LOVE this line so much! It's just so whimsical and the icons are so cute! I had a lot of fun designing this card.

To create this card I made a card base from some kraft cardstock and then cut out a few of my favorite pattern papers from the 6x6 paper pad. I used a woodgrain for the background and accented with some orange pattern paper and some blue star pattern paper. I ran the orange paper through my manual die cut machine using the zig-zag edge from the Yesterday Edges Die set. I placed some light blue stamping ink on the center of some white cardstock for a subtle sky background and then got to decorating the card front.

The card sentiment is made from a piece of the Ephemera. I loved how it captures the fun nature of the cute camper kids on the card front. I placed an arrow sticker along the bottom edge. This is added to the card with some foam tape.

I added the chipboard Teepee to the left side of the card and then added the camping kid
sticker to the right side and overlapped them a bit. The kid stickers have some foam tape on them for dimension. I added a few star stickers from the Element Sticker sheet around the card as well. I wrapped some yellow twine along the bottom edge.
These cute trees are from the Tree Trio Die Set.  I used some light green cardstock and some dark green and brown papers from the Coordinating Solids paper. I added these to the card behind the camping kids. I love adding die cuts to my cards - it's a fun way to customize your creations!
That's all there is to this fun card- it was a joy to work with this collection and I cannot wait to create more projects with the Summer Adventure line! I hope you will too! Happy Crafting!

Kindness is Better Card | Carta Bella

Hello - Tya here sharing a card today on the blog. I am always so enamored by the beautiful florals in each of the collections that we get to work with - and this collection had me swooning big time! Isn't is simply lovely? The Botanical Garden collection is so stunning and I had a hard time choosing just what floral I would work with.  I chose to work with the Daisy set of papers and accents.
To create my card I started out with some Natural White Linen Cardstock as the base of my card. I added a light wash of aqua watercolor paint on the back with some light brown watercolor paint splatters for a little splash of color on the card's background. I then used some floral paper from the 6x6 paper pad along the bottom edge. I also cut a strip of dark pink solid paper that was also in the 6x6 paper pad and glued that just above the bottom edge. I cut a tag from a piece of pink stripe paper from the 6x6 paper pad and added a few tags from the Ephemera die cuts layered on top of each other to the tag. I added a scallop border sticker from the Element sticker sheet to the bottom of the tag. To finish off the tag I added the pretty flower spray sticker, which is also on the Element Sticker Sheet, to the left edge with some foam tape. I added some jute tied to the tag and three dark pink enamel dots finish it off.  Before adding the tag to the card base, I cut a kraft doily in half and added it to the left side of the tag. The whole tag is added to the card with some foam tape.

Isn't this collection so gorgeous? It makes me want to go to a real botanical garden and bask in all the beauty there. I really captured the florals so wonderfully! Thank you so much for stopping by and  I hope I have inspired you to make some of your own floral creations using this collection! Happy Crafting!
