Let's Travel Mini Album | Carta Bella

Hello there everyone! Tya here up on the blog today sharing with you a fun mini album that I made featuring the stunning "Let's Travel" line from Carta Bella. And oh boy! What a fantastic collection this is! I am someone with a serious case of wanderlust...if I don't take a trip every few months, I get a little antsy! So this collection was perfect for recording one of our recent family cruise vacations that we took.

I was inspired by this tutorial to make this mini album. I loved the pull-out pockets and the chance to add lots of photos to this album using this technique of album construction. I decorated the front cover with one of the 4x6 cards and then added a few stickers, enamel dots, and chipboards pieces to decorate the front. I wrapped some jute along the bottom edge and added one of the Decorative Brads to the center of the bow.  I tied the album closed with some burlap ribbon and for some fun with the travel theme, I tied an airplane charm to the bow.
The album opens to reveal 5 different "pockets" that each one of the pages pulls out of and then they are decorated. The inside of the album is decorated using some "Planes" paper.  I decorated the front and back of the pockets with some "Landmark" and "Tourist" class pattern papers. I also did a bit of decorating on the front of the pockets with some stickers and chipboard.

Here is how the pocket holds the pages and as you can see they pull out.
Here is the album page. It has an outside flap like this:
And then it opens like this:
There is a lot of room for photos and journaling on the pages.

Here  is another one of the pages in the album. Notice the different pattern paper on the outside pocket.

Here I used the same page type, but this time I rotated the page and made the flap that was on the outside of the page above, into a pocket page and tucked a photo inside.
Plenty of  space for photos on the sides:
And then the other side can hold some journaling  -  I made this hidden journaling spot with a 3x4 card I scored on the side, glued just the scored side down to the edge, and then glued the journaling underneath.

This was such a fun project that I tackled in an afternoon and  I really liked this album technique and can see myself using this again and again. The "Let's Travel " collection is filled to the brim with anything you could need to make some simply fabulous mini albums. The papers and icons are stunning! What can I say? I  just LOVE this line!!! I hope I have inspired you to make one of these  fun albums for yourself. Happy crafting!

Easter Wishes Layout - Echo Park Paper

Easter is such a fun time of year! Especially when you get to document all of the fun activities that take place during that time of year.  I loved watching my kiddos when they were younger hunt for their Easter eggs out in the yard. I knew when I saw the darling Easter Wishes collection, I knew I had to create a scrapbook layout showcasing all of the cute Easter goodness!

I started out with the super sweet yellow floral paper from the Hiding Eggs pattern paper as my background. I then used a sheet of Ultra White Felt Cardstock as my base. To mimic the bright colorful dye used to color eggs, I splattered some bright watercolor paints to the background. I then used a piece of pink coordinating solid paper, a square of the blue floral Easter Flowers paper and a strip of the yellow plaid side of the 4x4 Journaling Cards paper.
To decorate the page I added some banners here and there on the page. I used the 6x6 paper pad because I liked the smaller scale of the pattern for the banners. I glued them to some brown twine. The Happy Easter title is from the Happy Easter Egg Die set cut from brown cardstock. I also used some stickers from the Element sticker sheet and chipboard shapes as well.
The top part of the layout is decorated with more stickers and a label from the Ephemera pack.
I typed my journaling up on the computer and mounted it on a piece of green solid cardstock. Mr. Bunny peeking out at the bottom is a chipboard accent.
This collection had oodles of super cute icons and papers perfect for all of your Easter pics. I am so excited to make more! Thank you for stopping by today and Happy Crafting!

Magical Adventures 2 Party favors| Echo Park Paper

Hi there!  As an avid Disney fan, I love anytime I get to create projects with this fun theme! I have a few younger nieces and nephews who are obsessed with all things Mickey Mouse and they are wanting a Mickey themed birthday party. I thought I'd make up a batch of some party favors with a magical theme for them to use for their party! Echo Park has some absolutely adorable new Designer Dies that make whipping up these little cuties fast, quick and affordable. The great thing about these dies is you can use them over and over again! I love them!
This first favor uses the Square Gable Box 3-D Die. Isn't it so cute and tiny? This would be fun to add a few chocolates or other candies inside. I added a strip of the aqua check paper from the 6x6 paper pad around some Hershey Nuggets to match the box. I cut the box out from a piece of Yellow Coordinating Solid paper. I decorated the front of the box with some chipboard and stickers. The stars are die cut using the Creating Memories Die set. I tied the box with a piece of bakers twine to complete the look.
This favor was made using the Scallop Treat Box Die. It makes the perfect popcorn holder! The box is cut from a piece of  Ebony Black Felt cardstock.   I decorated the from with some plaid paper and yellow check paper from the 6x6 paper pad.  I die cut the balloon and confetti from the Creating Memories Die Set. I added more chipboard, stickers and the firework label is from the Ephemera
This last favor is cut from the Take Out Box die.  I love how it looks like a little mini Chinese food takeout box! It fits a mini cupcake perfectly too! The box was decorated with more stickers, die cuts and chipboard. The box itself is cut from some Classic Red Linen Cardstock.
I had such a fun time making these! This collection is filled to the brim with so many cute icons and patterns -  you can make so many projects using it! I hope I have inspired you to pick up a few of our new die cuts and make some party favors of your own! Happy Crafting!
