Pink Paislee and Scor-Pal Week
This week we as the Scor-Pal Design Team are showcasing projects featuring Pink Paislee products! It was so much fun to work with the Portfolio and Artisan lines - love that I got to play with spray mists and inks!
Check out my project tomorrow (Thursday 11/29) as well as all the rest of the Scor-Pal Design Teams fabulous projects this week! And as you know - there are always fun prizes to be one so don't forget to check it out! Visit us here: Scor-pal Blog
Here's a little sneek peek of my project - like fun mini albums? This one's great!

Hello everyone -
I so thrilled to be able to share with you my projects using the Scor-pal Tool and the beautiful stamps from Hampton Art! I have to admit, I don't do a ton of stamping - but I was so happy that they carried stamps from one of my favorite companies - Doodlebug Designs! It was so fun to work with these stamps - and so easy! They are cling stamps and they stuck right to my acrylic mounting blocks like glue! And the inks that they carry are the EXACT shade of my papers and embellishments from Doodlebug! I loved that!
Here are the 2 projects that I decided to make this time around. If your holidays are anything like mine, my crafting time is super limited so I wanted to show you a couple of "quick and easy" projects you can whip up in a matter of just a few minutes. These would be great to give to friends, teachers or even as neighbor gifts! So here we go!
Supplies used in both projects
Scor-Pal
Scor-Tape 1/2 inch
Hampton Art licensed Doodlebug Design cling stamp sets: Journal Shapes (IC0159)
Doodlebug Ladybug Pigment Ink Pad by Colorbox
Doodlebug Limeade Pigment Ink Pad by Colorbox
Doodlebug Design North Pole collection papers and embellishments
First up we have this fun tall and skinny box with some candy cane sticks added in for a treat.
Supplies:
9 x 6 3/4 red cardstock
1 1/2x 9 green dot Doodlebug pattern paper for border around top of box
(2) 2 3/4 x 3 3/4 plaid Doodlebug pattern paper for front and back of box
(2) 3/4 x 3 3/4 plaid Doodlebug pattern paper for the 2 sides

Embellishments are from Doodlebug Designs North Pole collection
Stamps and inks are used on Candy Cane Decorations.

On the 9 inch side of the cardstock, score at 1, 4, 5 and 8 inches
On 6 3/4 inch side of cardstock, score at 1 and 5 3/4 inches
Trim the bottom and top small sections off the left side of the box. Snip the center score lines up to the horizontal score lines on top and bottom as shown below:
Glue sides and bottom of box together as shown.
I like to keep the top flaps of this box rather than trim them off. I just glued them to the outside of the box. If you were not putting anything in the box, this is where these flaps would come in handy in case you wanted the box to close all the way up.
Take 1 1/2 x 9 inch pattern paper and punch out scallop shape border along the bottom edge using a border punch.
Add this punch to the top of the box. Add the plaid pattern paper to the back and front of the box as well as the two sides.
Stamp the shapes with the cling stamps and add embellishments. Glue these to the candy canes.
Add paper shred to inside of box. Add red ribbon to the top of the box and tie a bow. Place candy canes in the bag! Enjoy!
The next project I have for you is what I am calling a "Tag-a -Long" card. It is a fun little card/box with a spot for you to give your recipient 3 cute coordinating tags. It is quick and easy to whip up and a fun way to give a little something extra along with your card!
Supplies:
8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch cardstock for base of card
3x 5 1/2 inch cardstock for box inside of card
3 3/4 x 5 1/4 inch snowflake pattern paper for card front
2x4 inch green stripe pattern paper for card front
1 1/4x 3 1/4 inch snowflake pattern paper for box front on inside of card
3 3/4 x 5 1/4 inch green stripe pattern paper for inside of card
Stamps and Ink from Hampton Art
Embellishments from Doodlebug North Pole collection
3 ribbons for tag tops
18 inches of green and white ribbon to tie around the box and keep it closed
On 8 1/2 inch side score paper at 4 and 4 1/2 inches. This is the card base
For the box inside the card, take the 3 x 5 1/2 inch cardstock and score this paper at 1/2 inch and 1 inch on the 2 short sides and on 1 of the long sides as shown.
Snip the bottom edges off this box as shown
Fold up box edges and glue to the inside of the card as shown:
Decorate the tags as shown. The tags all measure 3 1/4 x 4 1/2 inches. Add tags to the inside of box.
Green ribbon attaches to the box by feeding under the front panel and around the back of the card. The ribbon ties to the side of the box.
Thanks for joining me! Happy Scoring!Monday, November 12, 2012
