Sweet Friends | Bella Blvd Digital Layout

Hi there! Tya here! I am so excited to be up on the blog today sharing with you my latest digital scrapbooking layout. This week as a design team we are focusing on the adorable  "Bella Besties" collection. This collection won't be released in digital format until later on in the year - so this is a little sneak peek for you!

I thought it would be fitting since the line is called "Bella Besties" to create a friend themed layout. These cute photos are throwback photos of my daughter and her oldest best friend from when she was 7 years old. These photos bring back such fun memories for me and my daughter. There is nothing quite like your first best friend.

I used several of the papers from the Bella Besties Freehand collection to create this layout. As you can see there is a dot side and a graph side. I used a mix of both on my layout. The hearts are created easily by using a clipping mask over a heart shape and then layering them on your layout. They become almost like a digital version of a die-cut! So so easy to do!

That's all I have for you today! Thanks a bunch for stopping by today! Happy Crafting!

It's Getting Scary Card | Carta Bella

Eeek! It's time to start creating some spooky-themed projects! YAY! I love Halloween! Tya here, and today I am sharing my latest handmade card featuring the fun "Happy Halloween" collection.

This card starts with a black cardstock base. I then used a few papers from the 6x6 paper pad. I tore the bottom edge of the black stripe paper for some added texture. I think it adds a fun little extra pop on the card. I also splattered some black watercolor paint on the orange paper.  Here are a few close-ups of the card:

On the top left corner of the card, I added a bat and an "eek" sticker from the Element Sticker sheet. The card sentiment is from the Ephemera. Isn't that little ghosty boy so cute?

In the bottom right corner of the card, I stacked a tombstone and some cute jack-o-lanterns with a kitty cat peeking out stickers. These are added to the card with foam tape.
In the bottom left corner, I added 2 grey enamel dots. I tied some black twine into a bow and added it to the back of one of the enamel dots and then stuck both of them to the card.

I had so much fun playing with this collection! The papers are so vibrant and perfect for Halloween and I loved the illustrations as well.  I hope I have inspired you to pick up this darling collection and make yourself some handmade cards to give to your favorite trick or treaters! Happy Crafting!

So Cute Digital Layout | Bella Blvd

Hi there! Tya here! Today I am sharing a digital scrapbooking layout with you and it was really a lot of fun to create. This week on the blog we are focusing on Washi tape. I love when digital collections have the same elements as physical products and the adorable Addison digital collection has so many super cute washi tapes!

I took a few of the washi tapes and placed them diagonally across the top right corner of my layout. I added some drop shadows to make the tapes look a bit more realistic. I liked being able to use so many of the tapes without the layout looking too busy - the patterns coordinated so well together that they made for a fun decorative element.

I hope I have shown you a fun new way to use washi tape! Even better - digital washi tape NEVER runs out! I LOVE that! Thank you so much for stopping by today! Happy Crafting!

Cozy Christmas Cards | Echo Park

Hi there - Tya here! I'm so happy to be able to share with you a fun batch of cards I made featuring the simply adorable "Cozy Christmas" collection! This collection is soooo fun! I love the farmhouse type decor feel of this collection! Here are the cards I created:

Here are a few close-ups of the cards. As you can see I used many of the collections cute embellishments on my cards. This one has stickers from the Element Sticker sheet and some Enamel Dots. One trick I did with this card, that I have been loving is adding a layer of vellum between some of my design elements so the patterns don't compete with each other, I love how the vellum softens up the green plaid paper here behind my ephemera sentiment.

On this card, I used the "Tree Farm Greenery" Die Set and  I love all the texture the die gives this card. I added a bit of Glossy Accents on the berries for some shine. The die cuts are backed on some Natural White Linen paper that I ran through my Big Shot using the Holiday Branches Embossing  Folder.

This card has a sticker wreath layered with one of the Chipboard Phrases elements. Isn't that woodgrain paper so warm and welcoming?

This card was fun to make.  I made a little scene on the top section of the card with some stickers and another Chipboard Phrase. I love layering these 2 types of elements together. The different dimensions as far as the stickers being flat, and the chipboard a bit more raised, create some fun depth and interest.

I added two of the red rhinestone Decorative Brads here on the bottom section of the card. I made a little policy envelope type decorative design here some black twine laced around the brads and then tied in a bow. Again a great way to add some texture and dimension to your cards.

I want to thank you all for stopping by today! I hope I have inspired you to pick up this awesome collection and create cards like these and so many more! It was hard for me to stop at 4 cards with this collection lol! Happy Crafting everyone!

Fall Market Wreath | Carta Bella Paper

Hello there and welcome! It's Tya up on the blog today sharing a festive fall-themed wreath featuring the spectacular "Fall Market" collection by Carta Bella! Boy did I ever have fun making this wreath! It is going to look great along with all of my fall themed decor in my house this year! My home is decorated in a farmhouse motif so this collection was a dream come true to use! Here is my wreath:
To create the wreath I took all of the pattern papers that have a white background and cut them into 4x4 inch squares. I then traced a kitchen plate that measured approximately 8 inches onto some chipboard. I took a piece of the wood slat side of the Autumn Floral 12x12 paper and cut an 8-inch circle out on my Silhouette. I glued the wood paper to the chipboard.
To create the cone shape on the 4x4 pattern papers, I simply folded them into a cone shape. I stapled the bottom point of the paper with a stapler. I then applied some adhesive to the top of the folded paper. Once the cone shape was made, I simply hot glued the paper cones to the back of the chipboard. Continue doing these steps until you have pattern paper cones all around your chipboard circle. I also hot glued some strands of raffia in between the paper cones for a festive fall touch.
To decorate the center of the wreath I started by hot-gluing some thick burlap twine around the outside rim of my wood pattern paper with some hot glue. I then trimmed the "Fall Sweet Fall" sentiment from the 4x6 Journaling Cards paper. I added this to the center of the wreath with some foam tape.
I decorated the corners of the Fall Sweet Fall card with some chipboard, stickers and enamel dots. I also wanted to add some texture to the wreath so I used the Market Leaves Die Set and a few different Solid papers to make some leaves to tuck behind the other elements. I folded them up a little on the ends for a dimensional effect.

I had so much fun putting the wreath together! It is going to make a great addition to my fall decor. I hope I have inspired you to pick this beautiful collection up and make a few wreaths of your own! Happy Crafting!

No Grass Stains - No Glory | Bella Blvd Digital Layout

Hello! It's Tya and it's my turn up on the blog today! I am sharing my latest digital scrapbooking layout with you. Any soccer moms out there? My youngest daughter has been playing soccer for almost 10 years and is now nearing the end of her high school soccer season. It is a bittersweet memory but one that needs to be shared. I am so proud of her and for all of her hard work and will miss watching her play with her high school team that she has been on since she was a freshman. Here is the digital layout that I created using the awesome "Soccer" digital collection.

I loved the colors and the fun icons and sayings in this collection. I enlarged the "No Grass Stains, No Glory" sentiment and used it for my title. I thought it was fitting these action shots of my little soccer star! That's the great thing about digital is I can resize elements to fit my needs and make the scale of elements different for different effects that I want to achieve. So if you are a Soccer Mom (or Dad)  make sure to pick this great collection up and create some soccer-themed pages of your own! Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!
