Holiday Cards - Digital Style with Bella Blvd!

Hello there and Happy Holidays! One thing that I really love about digital scrapbooking is that I can whip up my own custom handmade cards in no time flat! And during this busy season, I am thankful for any project that saves me time but looks like I spent a lot of time creating it ;) I love making my own greeting cards and have really fallen in love with creating them this way.

When I create my cards digitally, I make sure to size them so that all I have to do is print the images out and then glue them to a card base.  These four cards are all created to be an A2 sized card (4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches) All I need to do is print them, glue them and send them! If you want, you can certainly add some really twine, buttons, enamel dots, or any other real embellishment you want to, to make them a little more dimensional. I'm telling you, digital cards are really fun!   Here are some close-ups of the cards I created with the adorable "Santa Squad" Digital Collection.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope I have inspired you to give digital card making a try! I use Photoshop to create my cards and it really is super fast and easy ( well once you decide what cute papers and elements you want to use lol! ) Happy Holidays and Happy Crafting!

Tree Time - Bella Blvd Digi Layout

Hello, Bella fans! I'm so happy to be here with you up on the blog today! It's such a fun season, isn't it? I love this time of year and the times that I get to visit some past photos to relive some of my favorite Christmas memories! Today's digital scrapbook layout showcases some photos of my family and I decorating our Christmas tree. For years we have headed out on the first Saturday of December to drive up into the mountains and cut down our own live Christmas Tree.  In fact the area of the mountains that we go to is fittingly enough called "Christmas Meadows". This was the tallest tree we had ever cut down and the kids had an absolute ball climbing up on the ladder and helping us decorate this ginormous tree! A happy memory indeed! I miss them being so little :)

To create the layout I used the fun and festive "Holly Jolly Christmas" collection. I adore the navy and pink that are added to the traditional Christmas color scheme. The icons are so whimsical and fun! I loved the Christmas tree so much - I wish it was real!

So, if you have or are going to be decorating your tree soon - why not grab this adorable kit to create some pages and record your precious memories of this wonderful season too! I hope you all have a great weekend! Thank you for stopping by today!

Thankful - Bella Blvd Digi Layout

Hello Bella Fans- Happy Thanksgiving Week! I think during this crazy year I have become that much more thankful for so many things, big and small. When I was making this layout, I was able to think about just how much I have to be grateful for, and the greatest of these is these 4 other wonderful humans with who I get the pleasure to be with and share my space with. We have definitely grown closer this year as we have had to spend quite a few "forced family fun" days together.  I have grown to love them each individually on a deeper level for sure this year - probably one of the biggest positives that have come from this pandemic.

I used the stunning "Gratitude Documented"  digital collection for my papers and embellishments. I added some stitching, paint splatters, and made my own title from a font, and backed it with some of our Bella Besties pattern paper. I adore the colors in this collection!

I hope I have inspired you to make a layout this week focusing on what you are most thankful for. It was great to take the time to really assess what I was thankful for this week! Thank you for stopping by today! I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Children's Day Digital Layout | with Tya

Hi, there friends! Tya here! I am sharing my latest digital scrapbooking layout with you and  I couldn't be happier to celebrate this fun day! Today, November 20th

is National Children's Day! I didn't even know this was a thing! But you know we have Mother's Day and Father's Day, even Grandparents Day - so it seems right to also have a Children's Day as well! (Even though us busy mamas may think EVERY day is Children's Day lol!)

My layout uses the simply gorgeous "You are Loved" digital collection.  I loved the colors and all the floral and heart icons in this collection.  And there is something about using stripes and florals together that just has my heart -  just like these 3 cute kiddos do as well! It was a very special day in this photo as my son was leaving to go to college a few hours away and we had one last family dinner together on the night this photo was taken. Such a precious memory I never want to forget.

I hope I have inspired you to create a layout of the special children in your lives. Thank you for stopping by today! Happy crafting my friends!

NOVEMBER MOOD BOARD DIGI LAYOUT |with Tya

Hi there Bella Fans! I'm up today sharing a digi layout using the November Mood Board. This board was full of some great inspiration and I love that I can use this for ideas for my Digi layouts too!

I was inspired by quite a few things on this board that I used on my layout. I loved the orange gingham/plaid pattern so I used that on my background paper. I also utilized the paintbrush strokes and the circles in my mixed media elements I used behind my photo. I also tried to mimic the beautiful cluster of leaves that run on the bottom-right edge of my photo. Lastly, I was super inspired by the leaves in the middle top picture. I tried to mimic that in my leaf pattern paper strip behind the photo. I used the gorgeous Gratitude Documented Digital collection to create this layout!

If you have a family photo you'd like to document, I  can highly suggest picking up the Gratitude Documented collection. It has so many lovely papers and icons that make creating family and gratitude themed layouts a breeze. Make sure to stop by the Bella Shop today and add this one to your stash! Thank you for stopping by today! Happy crafting my friends!

Cute and Spooky - Bella Blvd Digi Layout

Hello there Bella fans! I'm so happy to be sharing another digital scrapbook layout with you today! This is the month of all things creepy and so I thought I would celebrate it with a spooktacular scrapbook layout!

This is my cute daughter a few years back and all she wanted to be was something "creepy" she said. So we hunted high and low and for just the right costume and she found this "dark fairy" costume and fell in love with it! The super fun "Sweet and Spooky" digital collection was perfect with its pops of purple, black, and orange! I had a lot of fun decorating this page and that cute little skeleton girl was a fun way to tie in the "Cute and Creepy" theme don't you think?

If you are looking for a great collection to record all of those special costume memories, look no further than the "Sweet and Spooky" collection! It is filled to the brim with adorable Halloween cuteness, perfect for all of those photos of your favorite trick-or-treaters! Thank you so much for stopping by today! Happy crafting my friends!

Boo Gang! Digital Layout for Bella Blvd

Hey there! Tya here! Isn't this time of year so much fun? When they were little, all three of my kids LOVED Halloween! It was a holiday months in the making, planning just the right costume and just who they were going to go trick or treating with and where! I loved looking back and remembering this fun and festive time of year with my kiddos!

For this layout, I was challenged to use our mood board for this month and I took the grid look and a few of the icons and colors on the board to create my digital layout. I loved this month's challenge as I am such a sucker for bright colors paired with black. I used the super cute "Sweet and Spooky" digital collection.  It was so fun to put this together!

Thank you for stopping by the blog today! I hope that my layout has inspired you to get out a few of your Halloween photos and create a fun digi layout so you can record those precious memories! This grid layout is a great way to get a lot of photos on your layout, and still have some room to decorate as well! Thanks again - Happy Crafting Friends!

Love Fall - Bella Blvd Digital Layout

Hello there! I'm so happy to be here with you today up on the Bella Blvd blog! I hope wherever you are, you are getting the chance to enjoy the new season. I love fall so much- it truly makes my heart so happy - so of course, I had to record the memory in my scrapbook.

I used the lovely "Gratitude Documented" collection to create my layout. It was the perfect collection to use with my yellow leaf photo. The colors and the feel of the collection matched what I wanted to convey so well. The pops of teal really add a lot to the layout. I did add a few paint splatters and some sewing from my digital embellishment stash to add to the rustic feel of the layout.

I hope I have inspired you to get out and snap some photos with nature to celebrate this glorious time of year. Sometimes nature is the best subject to photograph when talking about how you love that certain season. Have a great week and Happy Crafting Friends!

Nothing Means More than Family- Bella Blvd Digital Layout

Hi there! It's Tya and it's my turn to share my latest digital scrapbooking project with you all today! This week, all of our projects focus on family, and what a great focus that is! During this crazy time in the world, one of the positive effects is that we have gotten to spend a lot of time together with just our family. It's been wonderful to be able to spend more time with them!

My layout today features the lovely "Family Frenzy" digital collection. I loved the colors and icons in this collection and they looked great paired with the photo of my Mom and brothers and sister. When the collection has a lot of bright colors, I like to keep my main background pretty neutral so I used my color picker tool in Photoshop and made a Kraft colored background. That way, as you can see, I am able to use lots of pattern papers without the background paper competing with them. This is a good basic design principle that I like to use often!

I hope that my layout has inspired you to create a family-themed layout of your own. The Family Frenzy collection will have all the elements you need to be able to record your own memories. Thank you for stopping by - Happy Crafting Friends!

Back to School - Bella Blvd Digital Layout

Hi there Bella Blvd fans! It's Tya up on the blog today sharing my latest digital scrapbooking layout with you today. Well, it's Back to School time! And while it may look a little different this year, you still can take those traditional first-day photos like I am showcasing on my layout today!

I used the super fun "Pop Quiz" digital collection and also a bit of the "Let's Go" digital collections. The colors of these two collections coordinate really well together. I love the bright happy colors along with the cool muted gray colors as well. They play off each other so well. I am a very linear scrapbooker and as you can see in this layout I used lots of rectangles in this layout and then placed those rectangles inside a big square. I added a few stitched lines as well for some texture.

I had a lot of fun using this cute collection to make this back to school layout and I hope that I have inspired you to pick up this collection for all of your back to school scrapbook layouts!
Have a great week and Happy Crafting Friends!

This is such a fun collection! I adored the bright, ocean-themed colors and icons in this collection. It is also chock full of some of the most beautiful floral icons that  I added to the right of my photos. I can almost smell the hibiscus! Take me back!!

Splash - Bella Blvd. Digi Layout

Hey Bella Fans! Tya here! I hope you are finding some great ways to beat the heat this summer. We have had sweltering 100-degree heat in my neck of the woods and I knew that I wanted to do a layout with my kids playing in the water - maybe that would cool me off lol! I love all the water-themed products in the Secrets of the Sea digital collections that Bella has, so I created this Digi layout.

The big splashes that are on the background were not nearly as big as what I made them. One of my favorite parts of Digi scrapbooking is that I can resize the elements as big or a small as I wish for just the right effect on my layouts. I enlarged the splashes just a big and then placed them behind my photos. I love how this turned out!

I hope that I have inspired you to take a close to peek at the adorable Secrets of the Sea digital collections. These are great and full of some super cute icons and papers- perfect for all of your wet and wild summer days! Happy Crafting friends!

Celebrate - Bella Blvd Digi Layout

Hi there! It's Tya and I'm up on the blog today sharing my latest digital scrapbooking layout! It has been a fun and festive month here with Bella as we are celebrating our 12th birthday! To continue on the celebration I created this fun birthday-themed layout to show you today!

I used the adorable "Wish Big" Collection Bundle and had such a fun time using the cute pattern papers and birthday-themed icons on this layout. I love that big cake in the center of the layout. Sometimes I like to take one digital element and enlarge it to make a good, strong focal point on my layout. I think the cake did just that. The colors are bright and vibrant colors make this layout especially fun and festive.

I hope I have inspired you to create a fun birthday themed Digi layout of your own using this cute collection. This is one with so many elements that you can create many, many layouts for years to come! Thanks for stopping by - Happy Crafting Friends!

Birthday Boy - Bella Blvd Digi Layout

Hi, there everyone - Tya here! I am so happy to be able to share my latest digital scrapbook layout with you all today! This is going to be an exciting month here at Bella Blvd as we are celebrating our 12th birthday! How exciting! To celebrate,  I have created a digital scrapbook layout featuring the super cute "Wish Big Boy" collection.
I really like this grey pattern paper with the subtle doodle drawings on it. It made for a great neutral background to place all the colorful papers on.  A good design tip is to make sure you add a buffer of solid color between two papers with patterns like  I did here with the grey paper and the candle paper. The block of green gives the eye a rest from too many patterns. Then I added lots of colorful embellishments to finish the page off!
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope I have inspired you to pick up the fun "Wish Big Boy" collection. It is full of festive boy birthday-themed products that is sure to brighten up all of your birthday photos! Have a great week and Happy Crafting!

July 4th Parade Layout - Doodlebug Design "Land That I Love" Collection

Hi there! Welcome! I hope everyone is having a great summer so far! Something that not very many people know about me is that the 4th of July is my absolute favorite holiday! I think it is because it is warm and sunny outside. We usually get to spend it with our family and dear friends, lots of yummy food is involved and I don't have to buy anyone presents lol! So I definitely jumped for joy when I saw the adorable "Land that I Love" collection that celebrated my favorite holiday! Today I  am happy to share a layout with you with some photos of my kiddos when they were little. Gotta love a throwback photo or two!

I LOVE using sketches when I create layouts - and I especially love the sketches over at the PageMaps website.  This layout was inspired by this adorable layout and I pretty much followed it exactly. Big thanks to them for creating such a fun sketch!

I love that this collection included some aqua in the color pallet along with the traditional red, white, and blue. The colorful dots on the Polka Dot Parade paper were a great pop of color on my white cardstock background. I also added a strip of the "America the Beautiful" paper with the tiny colorful grid. I like to add different scales of pattern paper on my layouts for interest.

The title is made from some of the Odds and Ends.  I added a blue star  Shaped Sprinkle to the dot on the "J" for some shine. The little "parade" sticker is found on the "This and That" sticker sheet. The banner along the top is also from the Odds and Ends.

The fireworks from the Odds and Ends were too cute not to use so I added a couple of them around the title. I embellished them a little further with some Stickles and Nuvo Drops for dimension. Aren't those little smiley stars so fun? They are also from the Odds and Ends and I added them to the center of the fireworks with some foam tape.

These next photos are some close-ups of the rest of the decorations on the page. The cute snow-cone is from the Odds and Ends and I added some Stickles on the dots for some sparkle.

I can't forget to add journaling to the page - this was typed up on the computer and then mounted on a piece of the red "Family Picnic" paper that I notched the end to make into a banner shape. I tied some Swimming Pool Doodle Twine on the end. You can also see I added lots of star Shape Sprinkles here and there throughout the layout. They add such a shine!!

Something new that I am including with my projects is a printable set of instructions on how YOU can recreate my projects. I am calling them "Doodle Downloads and I will attach a link below that will take you to a Google Doc with a supply sheet and full instructions. Please let me know if you have any questions!
