Christmas Tree Pop Up Scene Card

Hi Lori Whitlock friends - up on the  blog today I have a tutorial for this awesome card. I love the little scene in the photo, it's so fun and festive! I used the Christmas Tree Scene Pop Up card and it can be found here (LW Shop) or here (Silhouette). I am also using Lori's The Story of Christmas Paper, stickers and embellishments.

Let me show you how to make this card:
1- Open up the file and cut out all the pieces as shown.
2- Starting with red cardstock, fold on all the scored lines to create the pop up feature of the card.

3- Glue red cardstock to kraft cardstock card base.
4-Add background paper to red cardstock.

5- Put together the presents that go on the popped out sections of the card. Add them to the card base.

6- Glue edges of Christmas tree to the presents. Add stickers for decoration.
7-Glue together 3D presents. Add them to the card base.

8- Add Chipboard sentiment. Hand cut a banner shape and add letter stickers to banner.
There you have it! This would be such a fun Christmas card to give to someone special. They will love the pop up feature! Happy Holidays!

Lori Whitlock Creative Team December Blog Hop

Hi friends - welcome to Lori Whitlock's December Blog Hop! You should have arrived here from Cathy's blog or you can start at the very beginning at Lori's blog where you can pick up this darling freebie that is available through the 9th and she is also doing a gift card giveaway if you comment on her blog so make sure to stop back there!

The holiday hustle and bustle is in full swing here at the Smith house. It always seems like I am needing a quick little gift to give to someone so I whipped up a bunch of these adorable Christmas Tree Favor Boxes  found here (LW Shop) or here (Silhouette) to keep on hand for any of those last minute gift emergencies :) These little guys were so quick and easy to whip up on my Silhouette.

To make these I used some brown cardstock and I used Lori's Mod Papers Lime digital papers for the different shades of green paper. I simply drug the paper onto my shape in the Silhouette software. I used the print and cut feature to cut the shapes out using the digital pattern papers. I love this technique! I added a sprinkling of Doodlebug Design Jewels to decorate the tree. I added a simple twine bow to the trunk,
The BEST part about these trees is the way you can add a little gift or a yummy treat to the inside! Candy is a great gift for everyone!

That's all there is to it - hopefully I have inspired you to grab this darling cut file and use this tree to give to children's friends, teachers or neighbors! Thanks a bunch for stopping by today! Happy holidays!

Your next stop is Chrissy's darling blog!

All Stars layout - Doodlbug Design Home Run Collection

Hi there Doodlebug fans! I am sharing a layout today featuring Doodlebug's baseball themed line called "Home Run" - and they really hit it out of the park with this awesome line! It was so fun to be able to scrap these fun pictures of my little sluggers! And as you can see - the line is perfect for girls and boys both!
I had a lot of fun making this layout because the pattern papers that come with this line are so great! Tons of icons that perfectly capture this fun sport. I used some Ladybug Chippers letters for my title and the baseball Doodlepop added the perfect dimension I was looking for.
The This and That sticker sheet has some really fun icons on them. I used the pennant stickers and combined them with some Pixies to make pennants. They added a fun and festive touch. I also added some word stickers and some star stickers from the This and That line as well. The little stars have a Bon Bon mini sprinkle in them .The stars have a baseball shaped Sprinkle to add a little pop as well.
I added some journaling that I typed up on my computer and used a notebook paper edge punch for some dimension.

Thanks for stopping by today and Happy Crafting!
