Lori Whitock Creative Team August Blog Hop

Hi friends - welcome to Lori Whitlock's August Blog Hop! You should have arrived here from Kathy's blog or you can start at the very beginning at Lori's blog where you can pick up this darling freebie and she is also doing a giveaway so make sure to stop back there!

Well - it's Back to School time here around the Smith house so I thought it would be a lot of fun to gather up some school supplies, some Silhouette white Sticker Paper and a few of my favorite Lori Whitlock files and make some personalized items for my son. It was a lot of fun!

To start with, let me show you how I did the folders and the note card holder.  I utilized the Print and Cut feature to make my stickers. I found a few label shapes that I liked and added the 1st Period, 2nd Period etc. lettering to the labels. I then ran the sticker sheet right through my printer and then cut them out on my Silhouette using the White Sticker Paper setting. So quick and easy!

To make the note book I found one of Lori's Life Cards from the School Rules Digital Collection and resized the card to fit a composition note book. I added my sons name to the card using one of Lori's cute fonts. The print and cut feature only lets you print up to a certain size , which is smaller than the front of the notebook so I just sized the card as big as I could within the boundaries of the box when you do the registration marks and then printed it out. I added an orange cardstock background and glued that and then the printed life card on to the front of the notebook.

That's all there is to it ! I adore using my Silhouette to personalize items and hopefully I have inspired you to do the same!

Here are the files I used to create my projects:
-Mega Banner and Labels Set (LW Shop)
-LW TypeKey Font (LW Shop) (Silhouette)
-LW Lucky Font (LW Shop) (Silhouette)
-School Rules Life Cards (Snap Click Supply)
-School Rules Elements- Pencil (Snap Click Supply)
