Simple Vintage Life in Bloom Cards

Hello there Simple Stories fans! My name is Tya Smith and I am so happy to be back designing for Simple Stories once more. Today I am sharing my first post for the new term and I am so excited to share what I  have been working on! I get the pleasure of designing handmade cards and this assignment was such a joy to create. I am using the gorgeous "Simple Vintage Life in Bloom" collection. 

 For my assignment, I have created 8 cards that a full of some of my favorite products to use, as well as a couple of products new to Simple Stories! Let's jump right in shall we? I've included the card measurements and the supplies I used on each card underneath each of their photos. 

Some of my favorite things about this collection are all the beautiful florals. This collection is brimming with all sorts of lovely flowers so they will be prominent in my designs. This card features the new Layered Chipboard Stickers. These add such a wonderful dimension which I love!

2 1/2 x 5" Teal / Daffodil Vintage Basics - cut into banner shape

1 1/2 x 5 1/4" stripe from 6x6 pad cut one edge into a point

Cut a label with a die cut or just a rectangle out of Daffodil Vintage Basic paper

Add the "So Many Beautiful Reasons to be Happy" Layered Chipboard to the center

This card features some of the amazing Ephemera in the collection - I love that the ephemera was nice a large which made it super fun to layer and add embellishments to. Here I used the calendar piece and the blue ticket piece. I used one of the Chipboard Clusters as my focal point and then layered some pieces on top.

This card features a fun camera die cut as the focal point from the Bits and Pieces. The addition of some lovely ribbon and a foam sticker add a fun touch to this card.

Lots of layering went on in creating this card! I used a fun technique on this one by adding a small corner pocket on the bottom of the card - making way to add lots of tags and ephemera inside the pocket. I added more foam stickers to this card as well - love these!!

3 1/2 x 3 1/2 " Orange Gingham paper - 6x6 pad - cut this paper in half on the diagonal and use one side of the paper -  place it in the bottom left corner of the card to create a pocket.

On this card, I was able to play with another new product - Rub Ons! I added a couple to this card and they added such a wonderful touch. Aren't the butterflies in this collection are stunning! I used lots of them because they just complement the flowers so perfectly!

More florals, butterflies, and ephemera on this card! I used mainly the 6x6 paper pad for my pattern papers when making all my cards  -  this black floral is heavenly! I also used some of the Vintage Ginghams papers as well - as seen here with the green paper. I love that the Simple Vintage collections include solids and some patterns that coordinate with the collections so well!

The purples and blues in this collection were some of my favorites so this card features them. The "Just Be You" sentiment is from the 2x2 /4x4 Element paper. These are great to use on cards as sentiments! I also added some glitter enamel dots as well as a beautiful purple butterfly Decorative Brad to this card - so pretty!

Simple Stories Snap Binder Project- "Full Bloom" Collection

 Hey Crafty Friends! I'm up on my blog today sharing my latest scrappy creation! I am on such a Mini Album kick as of late! Today I am sharing my "Full Bloom" Snap Binder Album.  This adorable collection is by Simple Stories and is just too fun! This album comes just in time to add Spring Photos and record Spring memories before Summer gets here! (My next project focuses on Summer and I can't WAIT to share it with you!) 

Here are the photos of the album- I love the Snap Albums by Simple Stories because they come filled with cute pattern papers, chipboard dividers, and plenty of pocket pages to make album making so easy! I also love to add lots of interactive elements to my albums so you will see lots of those too!

Bunnies and Blooms Cards - Simple Stories - 10 Cards -1 Collection

 Hey, there crafty friends! Long time, no blog! I took a bit of time off last year and to say it is good to be back is an understatement! Crafting really is therapeutic I think! Anyway- today I am sharing my latest batch of handmade cards. I made 10 cards using the adorable "Bunnies and Blooms" collection by Simple Stories. I was on the Simple Stories Design Team back in 2020 - I am still such a fan of everything that they put out, so plan on seeing lots of Simple Stories projects here on my blog! 

Let's jump into the cards! Like I said, I made 10 cards using many parts of the collection. Here are all of the cards:

*You may need to trim the edges of these stickers to make them fit on the card. Glue the Pink paper in the center first then the two other papers on the sides - then trim off the excess overhang.
