To make the Snow Globe, I used the 6x6 Rainbow Wishes paper with the cloud background and layered up some Odds and Ends, and the cute "Hello Sunshine" Doodlepop to make a little sky scene. I added some of the "Gnome Sweet Gnome" 6x6 paper and traced the base of the Snow Globe onto it. I then added it to my Snow Globe base and decorated that section with a cloud, a button tied with some yellow twine, and some cute yellow pom-pom trim to finish it up.
I used the Cupcake, Bubblegum, Ladybug, Tangerine, Bumblebee, Limeade, and Swimming Pool Shaker Balls to fill up the Snow Globe. Aren't they so much fun?
Next, I created this cute little container with a shaker lid! Believe it or not, this is made from a small Pringles Can and a 3-inch plastic ornament half to make the shaker lid. I fell in love with this little technique and can see myself making oodles of these! They are the perfect way to showcase all of my favorite Doodlepops! They are so fun to fill up too!
To cover my Pringles can, I used a 4 1/2 x 10-inch strip of Over the Rainbow Stripe paper. I then added two of the decorative border strips from the Lucky Me paper. I added the "It's a Rainbow Kind of Day" die cut to the front of the can with some foam tape. I also added some cute yellow pom-pom trim to the top of the border strip along the bottom of the can. Cute colors abound here!
To make the lid, I added some lightweight chipboard strips behind the clouds on the "Hello Sunshine" Doodlepop. This made it fit well in the dome. I added a 3-inch cardstock circle on top of the plastic lid and then glued the Doodlepop down with hot glue. I added the Shaker Balls to the dome and then centered the dome on top of the lid. The dome is held onto the top of the lid with hot glue. This is so fun to shake up!
On the inside of the container, I did a quick little tag flip and featured some of my favorite pieces of the "Over the Rainbow" collection. It fit perfectly, ribbons and all, inside the container!
As you can see, the first tag on the page is a shaker tag that was decorated with some pattern papers, and acetate. The shaker balls were a great interactive element for the cover tag on this little flip!
Here are the tags I did! Lots of layering of 6x6 papers, Odds and Ends, Chit Chat, and Puffy Stickers!
Getting to play with the Snow Globe and Shaker Balls was such a delight and I am thrilled with how this little set turned out. I plan on giving it to a cute niece of mine to brighten her day! Thank you so much for spending a little time here on the Doodlebug Blog today! I hope you have the best day and we will see you all next time! Happy Crafting Friends!
