Scor-pal and Graphic 45

Hi there! Tya here with a fun project that shows off how amazing a pairing up of Graphic 45 and my handy Scor-pal can be! I loved the beautiful, rich papers that we were given to work with, so thanks Graphic 45! I was inspired by this project from songofmyheartstampers, but I used some fortune cookies instead of the coffee cups to go along with the theme of the papers. This would be a great gift to show that special friend, spouse or teacher just how "fortunate" you are to have them in your life :)
Here's my project:
Fortune Cookie Box

Supplies:
Cardstock (2) 2x 5 1/4 inches
ribbon
cellophane
buttons
black ink
fortune cookies
Step 1- take a 8 1/4 x 8 1/4 square of pattern paper. Score on one side at 2 and 6 1/4.

Step 2- Rotate paper and score again at 2 and 6 1/4.
Step 3- Snip the edges as shown.
 Step 4 - Take the 2 x 5 1/4 inch cardstock and score each piece at 1/2 inch and 4 3/4 inches
Step 5- Make a mark at the 2 5/8 inch mark.
Find a groove and score a line about half way down.
Trim the 2 score lines you just made about half way down.
Fold on the scored lines and line up the half way snipped up lines and fit them together as shown.
Step 6- Add adhesive to the sides of the box.
Adhere sides together to form the box.
Step 7- Add adhesive to the flaps on the box as shown.
Glue this divided section to the inside of the box as shown.
Step 8 - Add fortune cookies.
Step 9 - Make the tag by using a cut out from the pattern papers. Add cellophane to the outside of the box. Punch a hole and add the ribbon to the tag. tie the tag to the cellophane. Add buttons and ink the edges of the tag with black ink if desired.
Thanks for joining me and thank you to Graphic 45! Happy Scoring!

Doodlebug Halloween Parade Photo Tray

Hi there! Tya here to show you today a fun and festive home decor item that will add that perfect "spooky" touch to your home! I just love Halloween! I love all the colors (black is my favorite color), the candy and of course the costumes. I love adding pictures of my kiddos to my home decor and photo trays are some of my favorite home decor items. So today I thought I'd share with you my "Halloween Parade" photo tray.
My Photo Tray has 6 spaces that fit a 4x6 photo perfectly. This size of space is PERFECT for the darling cards that come in the Simply Put 4x6 Album Inserts pack. I love these packs and as you can see, they are not just for your scrapbook albums! They were so easy to just place in the spaces and decorate with all sorts of matching embellishments and stickers. Add some matching ribbon, your photos and you have a wonderful personalized home decor item that your family will be able to enjoy the whole season! Thanks for stopping by the blog today and hop on your broomsticks and grab some Halloween Parade goodies of your own!

Doodlebug Design Pixies!

Hi there! Tya here with my project featuring a new favorite product of mine. Pixies! If you haven't seen these before - let me tell you - they are sooo fun to work with! If you fell in love with the paper straw trend as I did, I think you will like these little beauties even more! Similar to a coffee stir stick - pixies are perfect for any layout, card or altered project. Today I decided to share with you some place card holders and a napkin ring that would be perfect for your upcoming fall celebrations such as Thanksgiving!

I used my Silhouette Cameo machine to cut out the boat and teepee. I used these files: 3D Boat and Tall Teepee place setting. Add some banner stickers and a friendly animal sticker and the kids will love the creative way you made their place holder special just for them!

The Pixies were also the perfect addition to a handmade napkin ring so I added some pattern paper, a strip of washi tape  and a "give thanks" banner from the "Happy Harvest" theme Pixie package. Tie a ribbon and add a button and you've got a beautiful item to add to your table setting!
Thanks for joining me today! I hope you will take these projects and add your own personal touch to your holiday tables with the awesome new Pixies!

Good Times, Good Friends :) Bloggers Night Out 2013 at Gardner Village

Last night I got the opportunity to help out my dear friend Lori at a super fun event. It is called Blogger's Night Out and this was the second year that the event has been held. We have it at Gardner Village in West Jordan, Utah. I am soooo glad that they have it at this time of year because the village is all decked out in all sorts of Halloween and Fall decor. And then there are the witches - lots and lots of witches. They make the event so much fun. The main witch "Lucinda" is the emcee for the event. She is a hoot and she brought a real live frog as one of the prizes for the giveaway! So fun! Halloween is my favorite time of the year and this event just gets me in the mood. It was awesome to see lots and lots of crafty bloggers and get to connect with new girls. If you haven't been able to check the village out it is so fun. Some of my favorite stores are "The Bead Farm", "Upon the Shelf" and "Taste"  It is an event that I look forward to all year! Thanks Lori and My Craft Channel and Gardner Village for putting on such a "Spooktacular" Party!
