Christmas Eve Layout - Echo Park A Perfect Christmas

Hello Echo Park fans! Tya here to share with you a fun and festive layout featuring the awesome "A Perfect Christmas" collection. This collection has so many fun embellishments that I decided to make a layout featuring lots of different types of embellishments.

The Focus of my layout was the obligatory photo of my kiddos on Christmas Eve in their new Christmas jammies. No matter how old they get - they will still have to pose for this photo. And we can't forget our fur babies as well. They got in on the photo fun this year.

Here are a few  close ups of the little embellishment clusters - I  used one of the circles from the Stitched Circle die cut as the base and got to decorating.

 I used the enamel shapes, the chipboard accents, the decorative rub ons, some decorative brads, some stickers and some twine. I just love this technique of adding little tidbits of lots of embellishments. It's really a lot of fun -you should give it a try!

I cut the title out on my Silhouette out of  some black felt cardstock and adhered it to my layout. I  then typed up my journaling and added a red felt cardstock banner to the bottom of the page. 

 This Jolly Santa is a chipboard piece and he just added that perfect touch to the layout. It's not Christmas Eve without the big guy right?

I added a piece of black and white stitched ribbon for some texture to the bottom of the layout.

Merry Christmas Card - Echo Park A Perfect Christmas

Hello Echo Park fans - it's Tya and I am up on the blog today sharing with you a holiday themed card featuring the amazing "A Perfect Christmas" collection. This was such a fun line to work with - I love the color palate of this line so much!
To start with  I  started with a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch piece of white cardstock for the card base. From there I cut a piece of the plaid side of the Holiday Ornaments paper for the  back ground and  started building my layers of my card from there.

Along the bottom edge of the card I added a piece of Merry Mistletoe paper. I  also added a strip of Snowflake  Swirl paper strip , a black cardstock strip that  has been punched with a decorative edge punch. I then cut a stitched circle from the Jolly Presents paper and  layered it onto a black doily. I added the Merry Christmas Chipboard title to the card front with foam dots.

To decorate the circle a little more, I added a pine tree and black snowflake sticker and placed  that behind the Merry Christmas title. I added a little more dimension and bling with an enamel dot and a tiny red enamel flower that dots the "I".

To finish off the card I added a red ribbon, and a wood button tied with black and white bakers twine. I love adding lots of texture to my cards and this ribbon and wood button were the  perfect touch I  think.

Perfect Christmas Collection Card - Echo Park

Hi Echo Park fans! It's Tya up on the blog today sharing a handmade holiday card featuring the lovely A Perfect Christmas collection.

To make this card I used a piece of white cardstock as my base. I cut a piece of Berry Merry  Christmas papers down and rounded the corners. I mounted this on the card front. One of my favorite items to use when  I make cards is the 3 x 4 cards that come with each collection.  This is such a quick way to add a sentiment to your card without a lot of fuss, so when I am looking at making some cards up quickly, I usually start with a 3 x 4 card and build from there. I chose this cute "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" tree saying as the sentiment of  my card. I used the "Joy" card from the 4 x 6 paper and trimmed it down and mounted the 3x4 card on top of that.

To decorate this card I used the Poinsettia Die set and punched the petals out of white cardstock and leaves out of green solid paper. I added a red pearl brad to the center of the flower and  then glued the flower to the  bottom left of the card. I pushed some of the petals up for some added dimension.

I added a few more layers of embellishments on top of  the card.I added a red ornament sticker , a green gem brad and some twine the sticker. I also added a few stars from the Enamel Shapes. I tucked a red striped ribbon behind the 3x4 card to finish the card off. (insert  Tya Smith We Wish you photo 3 here)

Celebrate Card - Echo Park Happy Birthday Boy Collection

Hello everyone - It's Tya up on the blog today sharing with you handmade card featuring the fun Happy Birthday Boy collection by Echo Park. What a fun and festive line this is! I adore the colors! They sure made making this card really fun!

 I started with a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch piece of Ultra White Felt Cardstock for the base of my card. I then used a piece of  4 x 5 1/4 inch Light Blue paper from the Coordinating Solids paper pack. This paper was added to  the card base.

I decorated the card with a few different pattern papers from the 6x6 paper pad. The primary colors are my favorite! So bright and fun! I cut 2 of the papers into banner shapes and layered them on the card. I added foam tape on the orange star paper. I then cut a small piece of blue candle border paper and layered that on the card as well. I added a 18 inch piece of yellow bakers twine to the candle border paper.  I then had tons of fun choosing lots of stickers from the Element Sticker Sheet die cuts from the Ephemera pack. A few Enamel dots were added here and there as well.

I love adding die cut sentiments to my cards. The celebrate word was cut from some Yellow paper from the Coordinating Solid papers. I used the Hooray Word Die set to make this. I added the sentiment to the card front with a little liquid glue just to tack a few of the letters on the present down.

10 Cards - 1 Kit - Hip Kit Club October Main Kit

   

Hey there! How are we? How's winter treating ya? It's been super mild here in Utah, which is a bummer since I love Winter. I think its because I like being holed up in my house with nowhere to really go so I get lots of crafting done. :) 

Back in August I signed up for the Hip Kit Club after being inspired by some of my favorite scrapbookers and seeing their awesome projects using the kits. I love all the different companies that they have used in their kits, as they are not ones I would normally gravitate to. It's been so fun to stretch my creative wings and try some new stuff! I challenged myself to make 10 cards from the October Main Kit and it was a ball. Here is what was included in the Main kit:

Isn't is so pretty? I love the blue! So the only thing that I added to make my cards are some cardstock card bases, and some basic embellishments like twine, enamel dots, some watercolors and some gold thread. Here are some close ups of the cards:

I hope to make this little challenge a monthly thing -  I don't get to craft for myself very often being on a few really busy design teams - which I love but I really loved creating just for fun! Thank you  for taking a peek! Let me know which ones are your favorites!

Happy January 2018 Lori Whitlock  fans! It's Tya here sharing some Winter themed digital scrapbooking inspiration. Is is snow where you live? Here in Utah where I live we get some great snow! And with all that snow comes lots of fun snow activities like this layout about a fun day of sledding. My cute little nephew has no fear! And you can see from the elated expression on his face that he was having a wonderful time!
